Friday schedule
No new work will be given on Fridays. During Friday "flex" time, please check to make sure all weekly assignments are completed. Next, please complete your paper work practice packet that was sent home on March 13. If you have finished all, please complete other practice today toward meeting grade level expectations...
Here are some ideas:
..............................................................................................................................................................................................
+ All students should continue to READ every day for 20-30 minutes (or more) using books from home. We have read at home daily all year and everyone needs to please keep this up. This is so important to our growth as first grade readers!
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
All students who are still IN PROGRESS on first grade sight words (reading less than 200 words at this time), need to study and review sight words daily to continue to make progress. Please include SIGHT WORD PRACTICE after your child's 60 minutes of daily assignments is completed. Our grade level standard is to read 200 or more words by early May. Please make sure your child is practicing daily to meet this very important goal!

- Work in the LEVEL UP section in Learning A-Z (in Reading). Our goal is for everyone to be reading on a Level I in Reading by the end of the school year in just a few weeks. The Level Up section meets your child at his/her reading level and provides practice to move on to their next level.
- Reading online work this week totals 80 mins in all (40 on I Station and 40 on Learning A-Z).
- This is our last week of regular homework from the Homework calendar!
- NEW this week for MATH! We do not have Dreambox assigned for this week. Please visit the Learning Links page and print the Practice Word Problems Set 2 listed there. If you do not have a printer at home, students can complete the problems on notebook paper. Please have your child number each problem neatly and separate each problem with a space. Students need to work on word problems about 15 mins per day this week to complete all 8 of the assigned word problems for practice by end of this week. There are 8 problems in all so please complete 2 per day. Parents, please check over your child's written work and help him/her correct any mistakes. Word problems should include the solved equation, a strategy (like number line or math dots), and an explanation of the strategy (3 or more sentences).
- We also have NEW Geometry math standards to practice this week. Please view one complete video per day this week (there are 4 in all). Here are the links:
