- Everyone has 1 new assignment in Learning A-Z, the book called Nature Stinks. Please listen to the story and take the quiz by Thursday of this week. Make sure you have completed all other assignments in A-Z by Friday (4 other stories were assigned during previous weeks). If so, the rest of your A-Z time should be in the LEVEL UP section of Reading. Our end of the year goal is Level I for all students. Please log into Clever to access Learning A-Z to see your assignments!
- Students should view 3 new learning videos this week for science in Brain Pop Jr. It is available through Clever. Click on our class page with the blue bear icon to find Brain Pop Jr. there along with Dreambox, Learning A-Z, and First in Math.
- We have 2 new short geometry videos to view this week as part of our math time (here are the links):
- Lesson 11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGb2DUSydXM
Lesson 12: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaPdOyD76Cw - Students need to please write in their journal for 15 mins. each day this week. Please remember to use best handwriting and self-edit. Try to spell all sight words and first grade level words correctly. Please follow the second week of the May writing calendar that I emailed to all parents last week. I have also posted it to our Learning Links page found on the tab above.
- On Friday, please make sure your assignments are ALL completed! If they are, congratulations on finishing our last week of regular assignments in first grade! :) I will be emailing all parents some additional information about recommended summer practice during the week of May 18-22.
- Everyone please continue to R E A D each day after your assignments are finished. We should all be reading 30 mins. or more each day now, including during summer break.
- Students, please study your SIGHT WORDS and MATH FACTS as needed! The grade level expectation is now 200+ sight words!
